More bad news!
I'm so sorry about this but I'm here to report more bad news.
As anyone who's read my website knows the reason I started writing was because my husband was diagnosed with cancer. At the time our five children were 6, 5, 3, 2 and 1 years old. I kind of took stock of where we were and realised I was never going to say 'mum, will see you all in ten weeks' and disappear off on some acting job. It was the end of one passion and the beginning of another.
Unfortunately my husband's cancer has now returned and he begins his chemo on Tuesday. I'm glad, of course, there is treatment but I will freely confess to feeling very low about what's ahead of us. It's particularly difficult for our children because of my mum's very recent death from cancer. Additionally a good friend who was initially diagnosed with her cancer at about the same time as my husband is now in her final days/weeks and will leave behind a 7 year old.
Tough days. The upside is that our children are now older. The youngest is now 8 and the eldest 14. The big downside is that this diagnosis has also coincided with him being made redundant which introduces all kinds of additional worries.
I very much suspect that this blog will continue to be shamefully neglected. I think, perhaps, I shall try and post something once a week and I'll try not to be too depressing.
